Modern classrooms
Our spacious, well-lit classrooms are equipped with the latest technology to enhance the learning experience. Each room is thoughtfully designed to promote student engagement and comfort. All classes come equipped with interactive smart boards which then allows our educators to take standard lessons and turn them into interactive activities. Our students are engaged and can have fun while they learn.
Science and ICT Labs
Our school is equipped with cutting-edge science and computer labs that provide students with hands-on opportunities for exploration, experimentation and nurturing a love for discovery.
Library
Our extensive library is a hub of knowledge, housing a vast collection of books and educational resources. The library also offers a serene reading area, where students can expand their horizons and imagination.
Sports Complex
Our sports facilities cater to a wide range of athletic pursuits, including a full- size gymnasium, an outdoor football field, basketball and volleyball courts and two temperature controlled swimming pools ensuring students can develop their physical skills and teamwork.
Arts and Music
Nurturing creativity is vital to us at ISO. Our dedicated arts and music teachers offer a space for students to express themselves through visual arts and music, honing their talents and expressing their individuality. Art education affects student growth and development both physically and educationally, while Music education also benefits the mental and social development of young students. Similar to art education, music helps to develop spatial intelligence, particularly spatial-temporal skills.
Cafeteria and Dining Area
Our cafeteria provides a wide range of nutritious snacks and meals in a welcoming space, encouraging social interaction and healthy eating habits.
Auditorium
At the heart of the ISO campus sits our brand new 250-seater auditorium where all members of the school community can experience shows, graduations, talks, presentations and so much more over the course of the academic year.
Clinic
Our clinic is a dedicated space designed to provide compassionate care and support for all students. From minor first aid to ongoing health management, our clinic is well-equipped and offers a range of services, including basic medical care, health assessments, and emergency response.

History
The International School of Oman (ISO) commenced its journey in September 2008 under the management of EDUGATES® International. Initially catering to students from Kindergarten to Grade 7, the institution expanded to encompass classes up to Grade 12 starting from the 2013-2014 academic year. Celebrating the recent graduation of our 10th batch of seniors marks a significant milestone in our history.
In its inception, ISO welcomed students at a temporary, spacious campus in Madinat Al I’lam. However, in September 2021, it made a pivotal move to a cutting-edge, brand-new campus situated in Bawsher.
Originally offering a comprehensive American Curriculum, ISO transitioned to the Omani Bilingual General Education Diploma curriculum from the academic year 2013-2014. Subsequently, in the academic year 2014-2015, ISO introduced the Cambridge IGCSE, Advanced Subsidiary, and Advanced Level Syllabi. This evolution broadened the educational offerings available to our students.
