Grades 9 to 10
International School of Oman implements the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum which provides a broad and balanced study across a wide range of subjects using learner centred and enquiry based approaches to education.
Subjects (Compulsory)
All ISO students must study the following subjects:
- English
- Mathematics
- Arabic or French
Please be advised that Omani Nationals must also study Islamic and Arabic Social Studies along with the compulsory subjects listed above.
Subjects (Elective courses)
Students will study five elective subjects in conjunction with the compulsory courses. The electives courses are:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Environmental Management
- Business Studies
- Economics
- History
- Information Communication Technology
- Art and Design
- Physical Education
- Art
IGCSE Examinations
Examinations will take place at the end of the Grade 10 academic year.
